My husband, son and I are looking for a 2-4 bedroom sublet or rental in Brooklyn from around August 15 2026 - June 15 2027. An ideal scenario would be a furnished family home where you are going away for work or school or sabbatical and need a trusted family to take care of your home while you are away. We can also pay up to $7,000 a month. We have spent this current school year in this kind of arrangement and it has been wonderful for both us and our friends who have needed the rent $ and the home care while they have been away.

We also have a home on Shelter Island and would be open to a swap for the school year or a non-simultaneous exchange for you to stay on Shelter Island for part of the summer in exchange for us in Brooklyn for the school year.

Our preferred neighborhoods in Brooklyn are Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill or Boerum Hill. We are not able to make Queens or Manhattan work.
