I’m looking for someone to look after my cozy third-floor studio in a classic Brooklyn brownstone. It’s a total sun-trap with three big windows that look out over the backyards. honestly, watching the squirrels while you drink your morning coffee is the best way to start the day. It’s super quiet and peaceful, but you’re still right in the middle of everything that makes Brooklyn great. Plus, there’s a dedicated desk setup if you're working from home.

The "Roommates" 🐾

The real stars of the apartment are my two cats. They are incredibly chill, very affectionate, and basically professional nap-takers. Since I’m looking for someone who genuinely enjoys cats and is happy to keep them fed and pampered, I’ve set the rent at a lower rate to reflect the help with their routine.

I’m looking for someone reliable and communicative who is generally based in the city. While I'm open to different lengths of stay, I’m ideally looking for a commitment of the full duration.

• The Climb: It’s a classic walk-up, 2 flights up.

• Laundry: There are several great laundromats within 4 minute walking distance.

• Packages: We don’t have an on-site super or a doorman. You’ll need to plan your deliveries for days you're home to receive them, or use the shipping office 2 blocks away to have things held for pickup.

About This Lister

We are a young couple, an artist (he/him) and a doctor (she/her). Brooklyn is our home, and we are the tenants of this Fort Greene studio. We will be away for work this time, so we are posting here ourselves to find someone who will enjoy the space while we are gone. We will be the main point of contact and will coordinate showing the apartment.

What we love most about the studio is how much light it gets and how close it is to the park and neighborhood cafés. It is a cozy, creative spot that feels connected to the community. We care a lot about our neighbors and are looking for thoughtful guests who will respect both the space and the people around it. We are grateful to the Listing Project for fostering such a warm and trustworthy community of people who share spaces with care.

💳 PAYMENT & DEPOSIT

Rent is $2,600 per month.

• PAYMENT PLAN: first month and security deposit is paid upfront to secure your dates.

• SECURITY DEPOSIT: $500 (due upon agreement). Fully refundable provided the apartment is left in its original condition.

• ALL-INCLUSIVE: $0 additional fees. Rent covers all utilities and high-speed Wi-Fi.

NOTE: Rent reflects a pet-care discount. 🐱

🐈 CAT CARE RESPONSIBILITIES
Our two friendly cats are very chill, but they require a responsible hand to stay happy and healthy. Detailed care guidelines will be provided, but here is a brief rundown:

FEEDING: Two auto-feeders handle dry food (require periodic refilling). They love their wet food once every two or three days.

LITTER: Daily scooping and periodic refills are required.

LOGISTICS: Receiving and tracking occasional shipments of litter and food.

COMMUNICATION: We’d love occasional photo updates of them while we’re away!

This is a respectful, quiet building. Please help us maintain the peace:

🚫 NO PARTIES: no parties permitted. our peaceful relationship with the neighbors means a lot to us. We know you'd appreciate it too.

👟 NO SHOES: we keep our apt no-shoe for hygiene reasons.

🚭 NO SMOKING: No smoking, vaping, or incense in the unit or building.

✨ MAINTENANCE: We value our home and ask for careful maintenance and cleanliness.
