Hi all! I’m looking for a room starting in October in North Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, or PLG, ideally under $1,400. I’ve lived in the area for years and would love to stay close to Prospect Park with good train access. I’m open to short- or long-term arrangements; ideally I’d sublet for the first month to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone. Furnished or unfurnished both work. I’m flexible on amenities—I love prewar charm, and laundry in the building is a plus. I appreciate a friendly, communal vibe (love a good kitchen chat!) and I’m respectful of shared spaces and cleanliness. I’d prefer roommates in their late 20s or older, as I’m in my early 30s.
Two notes: I have a minor cat allergy, so a cat-free home is best. I am also open to doing light work/chores for the building (taking out trash, etc) in exchange for lower rent.
I’m a female PhD student (she/her) who enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with family nearby. I’m a member of the Park Slope Food Coop and love testing out new recipes.
I recently completed an immersive Portuguese program and am excited to keep practicing the language whenever I can.
Personality-wise, I’m somewhere between introvert and extrovert—I really enjoy community and connection, but I also value solo time to recharge. I consider myself easygoing and flexible, but I also like to keep a clean, mellow, and comfortable home.
