We're a young family (two adults + 18-month-old) who are open to sharing our upstate cabin in two ways — rent it fully on your own terms, or share it with us on a bi-weekly rotation. Either way, this is a genuine city escape with a lot of heart put into every corner of it.

Option A — Full rental: $3,300/month, utilities included. Have the whole place to yourself. One year commitment.

Option B — Home-share: $2,300/month, utilities included. We alternate every two weeks and are totally flexible on how we structure the sharing month to month. A great fit for another family, a couple, or anyone who loves the outdoors and wants a beautiful base upstate. Open to month to month or longer term.

✦ The home — Trappers Keep

Perfectly tucked away up a magical driveway, Trappers Keep is a cabin in the woods surrounded by nature. We're far from the noise but close to everything worth exploring — antique stores, small towns, outdoor activities across the river in Hancock, NY. Only 2 hours from the GWB.

The living room is clad floor to ceiling in knotty pine with vaulted beamed ceilings, a large brick fireplace, big windows, and lots of natural light. The dining table — live edge walnut, seats 8- is made for long dinners with good people.

Upstairs, two king bedrooms each open onto their own private terrace (perfect for star gazing or sunset cocktails). They share a large primary bath with rainfall shower. Downstairs, a third bedroom with a full bed catches a beautiful sunset view, next to the first-floor bathroom with a tub.

Outside: fire pit, hammock, 6 Adirondack chairs, outdoor dining table, and a gas grill. A single kayak is on-site and yours to use.

✦ Good to know

No central AC, but the house stays genuinely cool in summer thanks to elevation and good airflow — fans in every room. All rooms have individual heat control.

We have dogs and are open to fellow dog owners on a case-by-case basis.
