We're a 30yo couple looking to sublet our lovely, fully-furnished Echo Park 1 bed + office while we're abroad this summer.
We're also open to a swap setup if you have a place to offer in London or Berlin!
Preference would be a renter interested in the whole window, but shorter stays could work for the right fit.
-------
Our place is one-quarter of a historic Victorian home in Echo Park/Angelino Heights, with lots of unique details and charm. We have 1 bedroom, 1.5 baths, an office, and large living and dining rooms.
In addition to our double bed, we have a blow-up mattress, and our couch is great for sleeping!
We have in-unit laundry and a well-stocked kitchen with all the supplies and tools you could want. No dishwasher sadly.
We have two desks (one of which has a monitor, mouse, and keyboard, which you're welcome to use). There's fast WiFi, our living room has Chromecast on the TV, and we also have a Nintendo Switch. Our shelves are full of plenty of books to borrow, a record player, records, etc.
Accessibility wise, the front entrance has several steep steps up. However, there's a a back entrance which only requires one small step up.
-------
Angelino Heights, a section of Echo Park, is on the east side of LA and is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. It's known for its concentration of eclectic architectural styles from three eras: Victorian (this includes ours!), Turn of the Century and Revival, which can all be seen on a stroll around the block.
Within a 15 min walk or 5 min drive you can be at gorgeous Echo Park Lake and several strips of shops, including many restaurants, bars, thrift shops, and other local businesses.
Eliana's (she/her) originally from Philly and works in the TV industry. Gerard's (he/him) originally from the UK and works as an analyst in the sustainability space.
Looking for a communicative, trustworthy subletter who will take great care of our place, which we've put a lot of love into making our own!
We're asking $730/week or $2400 for the whole time (slightly reduced from the weekly rate), which covers rent and a portion of our utilities for the period we're gone.
Will ask for a security deposit/partial payment in advance of your arrival. Happy to discuss specifics of this further!
