Furnished studio / junior one (separate, walled-off sleeping area) on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Located in the mid-70’s, smack dab in the sweet spot – right next to 1/2/3/B/C lines, Trader Joe's, Lincoln Center, Museum of Natural History, and Central Park.
The unit is street-facing on the second floor of a pre-war walk-up on a quiet side street. The building is old school, which means that it has the original wood floors and detailing. The apartment has double-height ceilings and a huge bay window that lets in great natural light that reaches the entire apartment, views of the tree coverage, and sounds of the birds in the morning. It has a full kitchen that is small, but serviceable, and is separate from the rest of the living area; there is also recessed wall-in storage (closet, shelving) in the sleeping area, which has a full bed. It’s already furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped, but the renter can also bring their own cooking utensils and decorate if they want.
Heat and hot water included. Electricity is separate, billed via ConEd monthly. There is WiFi in the place already. There is no laundry on-site, but the local wash-and-fold is a lovely small business that will pick up and deliver. While the super is off-site, management is quick and responsive.
Looking for someone ASAP through around May, with some flex.
I love this apartment, and am looking for someone who will show it the same level of care – it’s in a small, quiet, residential building, so looking for someone similarly clean, quiet, and respectful. (No Parties, No Smoking)
Past subletters have been working professionals who have stayed long-term, and loved the space for its balance of neighborhood charm and convenience to the rest of the city.
Happy to share additional photos and details.
I am a young professional in my 20’s. I’ve moved around a fair bit for work over the past few years, but love having this space to come back to. I have had this apartment for four years, and have no plans to leave.
