I’m offering my furnished private room and private bathroom in a large, beautifully renovated brownstone in Crown Heights. The sublet runs through mid-April, and the start date is flexible. A January 1 move-in works perfectly, and if you’d like to start earlier, an optional early move-in as early as December 15 is also possible.

The room is on its own floor, offering great privacy while still being part of a spacious, comfortable shared home. It comes with a full bed, bedding, towels, storage, and a private bathroom just next to the room. The brownstone has two large living rooms, a chef’s kitchen, dedicated office areas, a small fitness room (treadmill, yoga mats, stability ball), and a backyard with a grill. There is a free washer/dryer in the house, and a professional cleaner comes every two weeks. Utilities, WiFi, and household supplies are all included in the monthly rent.

The home is calm and respectful. There are 3–4 housemates who occupy rooms on another floor, currently including a friendly couple and their baby who travel often. A potential opportunity is available to move into another room in the house as well post this sublet period. The block is quiet and tree-lined, and the 2/3/4/5 trains, grocery stores, cafés, and parks are all nearby.

Before confirming the sublet, we like to create a small group chat with the housemates and do a short video call so everyone can meet and make sure it feels like a good fit.
