I am looking to rent my guest room out for the summer! I am flexible on dates, but am looking ideally for someone for the full 3-month (June 1 - Aug 31), but open to shorter or longer bits of time.

The apartment is a cute 2 bedroom, 1 bath with bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy. The bedroom is furnished with bed, lamps, nightstands, desk, and closet. There is a backyard with grills, picnic table, and bike rack for hanging out. Free laundry in the basement.

The apartment has been my main residency for over a year, so it's fully decorated and furnished :)

About you: This is a great spot for someone wanting to be in NYC over the summer. It's best if you are also an active/extroverted person. I would ideally like someone who doesn't fully WFH, since it can feel a bit cramped with two WFHers. I'd love another Queer and/or Femme in the space, and being LGBTQ+ friendly is non-negotiable.

Rent is $1265 + util (gas/electric/wifi) which is about $50-$75/person

- 3 blocks away from Grover Cleveland Park, 15-min walk to Maria Hernandez Park.

- 8-min walk to the Dekalb L, 13-min walk to the Seneca M, and a 15-minute train ride to Manhattan.

- Walking distance to some of my favorite spots like Honey Moon, Mano's Pizza, Velma’s, Windjammer, and Aunt Ginny’s.

- This is my primary residence, so it has all the things most homes have: coffee maker, pots/pans, towels, blankets, etc

- Non-smoking, no pets

A bit about me: I'm a gay woman in my 30s. I'm pretty extroverted and often out hanging with friends, going dancing, going to the beach, biking, or spending time with my girlfriend. I am currently into making ceramics and go to a studio in the area. I also like to work on other creative projects and I love to cook. I was laid off recently, so looking for my next job, but I am a software developer. I currently work from home, but do try and work from the library/coffee shop several days out of the week.

I do tend to keep the house calm and clean. I'll have friends over for dinner every once in a while, but it's always planned and at reasonable times you will be informed and invited :) The apartment building is small (4 units), and the other tenants tend to keep the apartment calm and quiet.
