Life-loving retired academic female (Columbia alum), spending extended periods in Norway during 2026-2027, seeks roommate to "share" furnished 2 bedrm 2 bath, newly renovated condo, 1,250 sq foot apt. on high-floor with balcony, corner views of Central Park, 24hr doorman, laundry room and gym (for modest fee). B/C subway stop at corner. All city amenities within blocks. Hoping to find some non-smoking, good humoured, tidy, responsible individual (preferably female), with no pets (sorry). To the right person who can love my tree house as much as I do, and share a laugh when I occasionally get to town, I am offering a 1-yr, potentially renewable, contract for the primary bedroom with bath and shared common spaces for 3,500/mo starting July 2026 (dates negotiable).
About This Lister
Born Californian, rooted in NYC, but with clans in many places where I have lived and worked abroad. This apartment has been in my life through a special set of circumstances ( a story I will share). It is precious to me and many friends and family have left their good energy in its walls. I have loved splitting my time between Norway and NYC but now Norwegian family insist on more time in the "old country". Life is chapters. Good will come of sharing it in this new way.

Personal or zoom interview, and references will be required. Deposit is negotiable. Contract with three months notice for your early termination will be required. Condo may require move in fee which I will split.
Please note: I raffled the apartment in an NGO fundraiser a year ago before my plans changed, so 4 mature, professional, women whom I know will need the space for 17-24th of Sept. I will not charge Sept rent in return for vacating the apartment for those nights. I would pay for cleaning before and after.
