Hi! I'm subletting my serene, cozy apartment in bustling Williamsburg. This space has been my sanctuary for the past 5 years. I hope you will love your stay here and take care of the place like it's your own!
It's a railroad apartment and the front (street facing) room gets tons of light throughout the day. This is the most spacious room in the apartment and has a down daybed to lounge on, a large palm to make you feel like you're in the jungle, lots of dresser space, and a desk in the corner where you can work and/or take video calls from with a bookshelf as your backdrop.
A queen-sized bed with cloud-like foam mattress occupies one of the middle rooms, and the kitchen/dining room is at the other end. Electric water kettle, toaster, and Berkey water filter are here for your use along with pots, pans, and all cooking supplies. The bathroom is split into two parts: a toilet room and then a shower that is separate. The kitchen sink doubles as your bathroom sink. It gives a New York-y kind of charm to the place.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor in a 3-floor building. There are just 5 apartments in the building and all the neighbors are quiet and sweet. This is not a party spot and I would be super grateful if you didn't bring anyone over who you don't know well. Please, no smoking in the apartment but you are welcome to go out to the back yard. It’s a no-shoe house and I would very much appreciate if you and any guests took shoes off upon entering -- thank you!
The neighborhood is awesome for cafes, restaurants, shops. Whole Foods is a 2 minute walk away and Trader Joe's is 7 minutes. Movie theaters, bars, music venues, gyms, Chanel store (!), pizza, bagels, sushi, anything you can dream of is likely within walking distance. Domino Park with lovely view of the city is a 7 minute walk away. Bedford L stop is 7 minute walk, Metropolitan G train is 15 minute walk, and Marcy J/M is 17 minutes. My favorite laundromat is Launderette New York, a 7 minute walk down the street.
The sublet is available from May 26 to June 26 with the possibility to extend. All utilities included in the rent.
I'm a therapist (social worker), dancer, traveler, collector of books, and occasional water colorer.
One month's refundable deposit required to hold the spot, then first month's rent upon arrival. References would be great. Def a video chat or two to get to know each other a little.
