Nice sunny bedroom in 2BR apartment one block from McGolrick Park. The bedroom features two windows, in a pre-war historic third floor walkup. The room has a full closet with storage space above, high ceilings, and faces the backyard so is very quiet. The room comes with a new AC unit in the window. The bedroom fits a queen sized bed and has room for a dresser and desk. The living room has neat exposed brick and every room in the apartment has a window, including the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is small but has a tub. The kitchen has marble counters, an older stove, and slightly slimmer than usual refrigerator, though it does the job.
The NEIGHBORHOOD is incredible. Picturesque McGolrick park a block away hosts a farmers market every Sunday. There's and a TON of whatever you desire in coffee shops, restaurants and night life.
The apartment is about a ten minute walk to McCarren Park, and the G train Nassau stop on Manhattan, 15 minute walk to the Graham L, or 20 minutes to the Bedford L stop.
The apartment has a sweet rooftop with incredible views of the city, fun for bbq-ing, 4th of July fireworks viewing, or just relaxing :) There are two laundromats on the block. Our neighbors are quiet, friendly and considerate.
LOOKING FOR:
A tidy, friendly, positive, relaxed working professional who preferably doesn’t work from home. I’m hoping to find someone cool to share the space with. My roommate of two years is moving in with his partner, so that is why the room is open.
ABOUT ME:
I am an outgoing, friendly, chill, bookish, liberal minded Pacific Northwest native in his 40s. I’m a culture vulture, love music, film, literature, going to shows and museums, enjoy thrifting, and hosting friends occasionally. I work as a Public Librarian at Queens Public Library, and am currently attending grad school at Queens College for Library Science (I graduate at the end of May!). I am a tidy and thoughtful roomie in search of a likeminded considerate person who enjoys a quiet, and comfortable living space. I’ve been in New York for 10 years, and before that lived for a spell in Portland Oregon.
If you’re interested please tell me a little about yourself and hopefully we can set up a time for you to check out the room! Available June 1st….
Also feel free to message me with any questions you might have….
