Stand-alone studio ADU tucked beneath our 1920s Spanish-style home in Highland Park’s Garvanza neighborhood. The space is newly built and fully furnished: super comfy queen bed, blackout curtains, small dining/work table, and a fully stocked kitchenette with stove/range, fridge, appliances, and washer/dryer. There’s a modern bathroom with walk-in shower and great water pressure, hardwood/tile floors, mini-split heat + AC, and strong WiFi.

The ADU has its own entrance and feels private, with a back door that opens to the garden—hummingbirds, butterflies, fruit trees, medicinal herbs, and a grandfather oak tree. It’s a quiet sanctuary; ideal for someone who wants a calm place to land at the end of the day and wind down with access to our cedar barrel sauna.

The house sits on a hill in Garvanza, walking distance to Amara Café and York Boulevard (cafes, bars, vintage, markets, yoga, etc.). Easy access to the 110 and 134 for getting downtown, to Pasadena, or around the eastside. Street parking is generally easy, and we can offer shared driveway access if needed.

Available weekly at $1,000/week or $3,000/month.

We’re Jen and Oscar, a creative, nature-loving couple who live in the main house above the ADU with our sweet dog, Ivy. Jen works in PR and spends a lot of my free time in the garden or studying herbalism; Oscar is a bodyworker who practices massage and plant-based therapies. We love to share this special slice of Garvanza and this sanctuary with those who will love and appreciate it. We’re happy to offer local tips or a quick chat in the garden, and just as happy to give you full privacy so the ADU can truly feel like your own retreat.
