Nyack is home to artists, actors, writers and musicians, along with outdoor enthusiasts. Known for its vibrant street fairs, weekly seasonal farmer's market, famous Halloween parade, and diverse shops, it's a historic small town that's close to the city but has a unique identity all of its own.
My husband and I moved to Nyack from the West Village 18 years ago, arriving with our two small children as renters in the caretakers cottage behind the main house and ended up buying the property a year later. We gut-renovated all 5 apartments in the main house with "blood, sweat, and tears – and a few tetanus shots" while we raised our kids (now young adults) and commuted to the city. We still live in the caretaker's cottage, so we're close by if something breaks, but are very respectful of your privacy. We genuinely want you to love living here!
One-year lease. First month's rent + one month security – $7200 total – due at signing. No broker's fee. Rent includes heat, hot water and cooking gas, tenant has own electric meter and pays for usage.
Pets considered on a case-by-case basis. (We love animals, but we've learned the hard way sometimes it doesn't work out.)
