Seeking to rent to just one person, please - no couples or pets. Please be sure to tell us a little about yourself and your stay in NYC when you send a message.
We are seeking to rent a large furnished bedroom in Harlem through the Summer from June 3rd though August 31st, for a total of $1550/month - this is FULLY INCLUSIVE of bills, WiFi, AirCon, and kitchen and bathroom supplies. (There might be the possibility to extend beyond August with a commitment through to end of May 2026 but we will not know if this is an option until mid July.)
The room is very large with a queen-size bed and very comfortable Emma mattress. It has two large windows that look onto the main street, and french doors that open up to a second room (perfect for yoga/working out/clothing rail/storage) which is semi-private for you as well. The bedroom has a large desk and the apartment has reliable Wifi.
There will be some personal belongings and plants in the room and we are seeking someone who is tidy, considerate and is not planning on inviting many overnight guests to the apartment. (Please ask us about overnight guests in the apartment when we chat.)
You will have the use of our small but clean bathroom, a large, bright living room, and a bright and fully-equipped kitchen.
You will be sharing the apartment with 2 others; one from Brazil studying batrachology (frogs) at CUNT and another from the UK who works in design. It's an upbeat musical and plant-loving household.
We are looking for someone who is clean, tidy, upbeat and friendly, and importantly--very busy with work/school and life, since we are both also very busy. Ideally, this sublet is best suited to someone visiting from out of town for a few months.
The apartment is in a really great location--less than half a block from the A, C, B, D lines (express trains get you downtown in about 20 minutes), and a couple of blocks from 125th street (banks, Duane Reade, grocery stores) and close to the buzz of all the new bars and restaurants in Harlem. It's an easy walk to Columbia University or City College, and a short train ride to Columbia University Medical Center. It's super easy to get downtown on the express trains as well.
Please send me an email if you are interested in the room and be sure to include a little bit about yourself and your stay in New York in your message :)
There is no tolerance for sexism, racism or homo/transphobia, etc in our household. The apartment is cosy, comfortable and is really easy to keep clean and tidy. The main joint focus is on keeping the kitchen clean and available for use, since cooking tends to be a passion for most people who live here. Besides that, all house rules revolve around COVID-caution and common sense to keep us all happy.
