I've recently rented a condo in Sunnyside Queens 11104. It's beautiful with hardwood and marble floors with tons of windows with natural light. The kitchen, dining room and living room are massive and open making it the perfect communal space for everyone to enjoy. I will furnishing the apartment this coming week with furniture, etc.
I am a visual artist and custom fabricator. I spend most of my time in the art studio and the shop. My spare time mostly involves galleries, museums, parks, music venues, bars and restaurants while also driving out of town some weekends for a breather from the city.
I have (2) rooms to rent out. Each lease will be for 12 months. I will have a 2 month trial period so if we don't get along perfectly, we can part ways after the 2 months. Due at move-in will be first months rent and a security deposit the same amount of rent. After move-out and the apartment is cleaned, you will receive your deposit back.
-The first room is about 100 sq ft (144" x 100") with double windows. It has plenty of room for a queen size bed and other furniture. Hardwood floors. 9' tall ceiling. This room is $1,650 a month.
-The second room is about 55 sq ft (105" x 72") with no windows. It has a closet, 9' ceiling and hardwood floors. This room is $1,090 a month.
-Either room is available as soon as 1/1/26.
I would prefer social roommates (but not necessary) as the communal spaces are very big and open for everyone to use so you don't have to hide out in your room! (I don't think you'll find another living area this big and bright!) The condo is on the 2nd floor so it's an easy walk. There is an elevator. There is a laundry room in the basement making it very convenient to do your own laundry. The street is filled with trees and very quiet. There is a park half a block away! It's a great neighborhood. The 40st 7 train is about 3 blocks away for commuting. I am looking for roommates who are respectful or noise, space and cleanliness. One person per room. No pets. Bedrooms are unfurnished but if you need help with getting a bed just lmk.
