I'm subletting my beloved apartment in Ridgewood, Queens, a 2 minute walk from the Forest Ave M train and a super short walk from Ridgewood staples such as Cassette, Norma's, and Rolo's. Slightly longer but totally manageable walk to the L. I'll be on tour in Asia from December 30th to February 2nd and I'm looking for someone who will love this very special space as much as I do.
This railroad-style apartment is a second (top) floor walk-up, fully-furnished, and takes up the entire north-facing half of the floor, with windows in each of the four main rooms. Corner windows in the kitchen and office room make for even more light. It's technically a 2 bed railroad, but I've turned the second, bigger bedroom into a music/art studio/office space. There's also a big kitchen when you first walk in and a spacious separate living room with TV. Pets are allowed. I like to keep things homey, but very neat and clean. Since it's a railroad, it's best suited for a couple or individual, but there is a comfy couch in the living room for overnight guests.
Utilities and wifi included.
It's a slightly older but well-maintained building with just three other apartments, all of which are occupied by very friendly, considerate neighbors.
If you haven't spent much time in Ridgewood, you'll love it. It's the perfect blend of quiet, calm, and full of fun things to do, and it's also super easy to get into Manhattan with the M right there. This is, in my humble opinion, the cutest part of Ridgewood.
I am a musician and illustrator (he/him) living full-time in Ridgewood, except when on tour. I moved here from Bedstuy just under a year ago.
I live here full-time, so I'd like to Facetime or Zoom call with any perspective renters to make sure we are on the same page about everything!
Pets are allowed in my building, please just be sure to clean up after them :)
