Studio-sized apartment (345 square ft) with private bathroom, shared kitchen, on top floor of a standalone queer group house - 4 floors with 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and yard on 3 sides of home - prospect lefferts gardens/flatbush. Includes two windows, built-in bookshelves, closet, and can fit a queen, dresser, desk, chair (or full home office setup), etc. Kitchen is shared between 4 roommates. Rent is $1300 per month. 2 cats already so no pets please.

Important to note: Our landlord is pretty absent so we do not bother him except in emergencies. This means no routine maintenance and a need for a DIY attitude for non-emergency issues.

We share the large kitchen, living room, yard, firepit, and front porch, as well as basement storage. There's an apartment in the basement with its own entrance and kitchen, one bathroom on the first floor, one bathroom on the second, and 4 single rooms on the second floor. There are currently 5 roommates in their early 30s to mid 40s.

The house is set between the 2/5 at Sterling and the B/Q at Prospect Park. 10 minute walk to Flatbush with lots of veggie/fruit markets, restaurants and the entrance to Prospect Park at Lincoln rd. It's a quick bike ride or train to Grand Army for the farmer's market or the library.

You: Queer and/or Trans, experience with living in a group situation and a concrete desire to live communally. Into pets but don't have one. Committed to keeping common spaces clean and doing chores. Plan to stay in the house for at least a year. Body/sex/kink positive. No partying. No smoking inside.

Accessibility note: Please note there is a flight of stairs to access the second floor of the house and another flight to access the top floor your room is on.
