About This Lister

About Emily and Alex: We have been besties since 2021, when the universe converged our paths in a biking adventure in Patagonia and said you ought to be friends and we said yes let’s.

About Emily (30F): I am from Lake Tahoe, CA and am new to NYC. I work in hospitality, mostly nights, sometimes afternoons. I like to dance, yoga, laugh, play, clown around. It is important that my home space is a place to feel fully expressed whether that be dancing in the living room, cooking a meal or hosting friends. I also want home to feel safe, peaceful, warm and welcoming and overall just really wonderful energy. I am a social creature and finding a roommate for me is finding a friend I want to come home to to share about our days, laugh, write a song, commit to the bit and generally just be very comfortable in each other's company and hopefully become friends for the rest of time
.or at least for while we live together.

About Alex (34M): I grew up in Seattle and still wear blue/green/purple flannels and bike in the rain sometimes. My mommy and her mommy and her mommy are all from New York, and I’ve been in Brooklyn since 2022. I like to dance, yoga, laugh, play, goof around (I’m no clown!) and work work work. I run a high-flying, totally-not-evil, 50-person tech startup and work all the time always forever. When I’m not doing that, I can be found doing sun salutations in the sunshine, dancing blues/fusion/gaga/club nasty/disco, skinning up a mountain and then skiing back down, or maybe even going on a date sometimes.
