Seeking an ice cream production person for a small, top-rated ice cream shop in the Lower East Side. Must have some experience working in a commercial kitchen and using a batch freezer.
Responsibilities include making ice creams, sorbets, inclusions and variegates. Will also organize production schedule and keep track of production inventory.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, and keeps a clean working environment. Must be comfortable going up and down stairs and ladders, lifting and carrying 40lbs and be able to work in a small kitchen. A good sense of humor is a plus.
I am the owner/operator of a small ice cream shop on the Lower East Side.
I have been the sole production person since the shop opened in May 2025 need someone to take over being the primary ice cream producer. This person would be working alone most of the time.
There would be two production days to start, going to three as demand increases. The exact workdays could be flexible once training is complete, though Mondays are a set production day and other days will have an early start and be wrapped by 1PM.
