The Apartment:
A beautiful, 1600 sq ft, parlor‑level brownstone walk-up with high ceilings, warm wooden details, and a peaceful feeling complete with two living rooms, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and a small shared backyard. And it’s New York after all, so there is a quirk! We’ll need to cross through each other’s space to access the shower / kitchen — a classic railroad apartment. Sounds funky, but it worked really well with my dear friend, so when she had to leave the city, I decided to try and find another kind and amenable roommate instead of giving up this gem.
Location: South Portland Avenue between Lafayette and Dekalb, Fort Greene Brooklyn. Within a block of Fort Greene Park and a 2-12 minute walk of all major subway lines. It's ideal.
Move in Date: May 1 (lease renewal Oct 15)
Your Portion of the Rent: $2650 / month

I am a seven-year resident of Fort Greene and an operations manager at an environmental conservation organization. I care deeply about physical, mental, spiritual and planetary health. I love dancing, photography, farmers markets, living in community, and a good night of sleep. I'm looking for a roommate to share the space who prioritizes cleanliness, calm, and a healthy lifestyle.
