RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE  
Priming & prepping surfaces (experience with gesso and oil primer preferred but not required) -- PRIORITY TASK
Occasional art handling
Possibility of background painting/ground painting   
Possibility of assisting on photo shoots
May occasionally be asked to make tea

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
 Must be time efficient
Trustworthy & able to work alone
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (kind, professional, proactive)
Organized
Excellent references
Own transportation

FANTASTIC IF YOU HAVE...
 Familiarity with stretching canvases
 Familiarity with professional printing, AirTable, InDesign / Adobe Suite
 Familiarity with ceramics processes

COMPENSATION
 20/hr base rate, compensation increase per experience. Willing to train across a variety of media/skillsets for the right candidate & wage increases commensurate to skill acquisition. Can negotiate travel fee for commuters.

*  This role is ideal as a supplement to other work or to build experience. Hours may increase over time as the studio scales and working fluency is shown.

About Us

About us:
Interdisciplinary art studio working across eight disciplines. The studio is currently adjunct to the artist’s home—consequently, second-round applicants must submit to background check.   

Flexible schedule, flexible hours: we don't so much care when (within reason) so long as quality work gets done. We have heard only lovely things about working with us, and sadly our established assistant moved back home during the fires (and the artist evacuated too, only returning last week) so we have an opening and are looking to fill quickly.

You will correspond mostly with the artist directly and the artist's virtual assistant, Chelsie, for scheduling and emails.
