Stay Studio is looking for a thoughtful, driven Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role is an opportunity to work closely with us on a wide range of projects. We’re seeking someone who is creative and detail oriented, with a solid grounding in interior design principles, strong technical and digital skills, and an instinct for crafting spaces that feel both purposeful and inspired.
This position is ideal for an emerging designers who wants to deepen their craft within a collaborative, design-led studio environment.
Responsibilities
-Assist design team in developing conceptual and schematic designs
-Sourcing furnishings and accessories to support the project
-Prepare presentation materials that effectively communicate design ideas to clients. Ability to use photoshop and InDesign is required
-Support project management tasks including: scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors and vendors.
-Participate in site visits to oversee construction and installation processes, ensuring designs are executed accurately
-Maintain organized project documentation and correspondence and adhere to deadlines throughout all project stages.
-Aid in the procurement of FF&E and OS&E for a variety of projects with varying scopes from high end furnishings and accessories, to custom millwork and lighting.
-Ability to create detailed drawings, renderings and presentations using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino is a plus
Experience
Prior experience in interior design or related fields is required.
Proficiency with Studio Designer, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and CAD software is highly desirable.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members.
A portfolio demonstrating creative design solutions and technical proficiency will be considered a plus.
Applicants must live close to New York City and be comfortable traveling there as needed
