This position involves traveling to St. George, Utah (near Zion national park) to install a feature artwork. You will join the team in assisting with prepping the site for installation, prepping units for mounting, mounting units and doing final QC checks on the jobsite. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently once debriefed on a project, while also being able to identify potential issues and notify the rest of the team as they arise.
The ability to navigate an active construction site with professionalism is required. The travel timeline for this position is still being determined but will most likely be two consecutive weeks between the dates of March 16th- April 3rd.
In office paint-finishing opportunities are available in late February and early March if you are in NYC and have availability to assist with production before heading to Utah, but not required for this specific role.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Quality control checking on units
● Prepping hardware
● Working with a spray booth to produce a final finish on units
● Assembling projects per drawing details and specifications
● Updating spreadsheets as projects progress
● Mounting artwork onsite
● Keeping a clean work space
● Joining the install team to assemble pieces on site
Desired Skills and Experience:
● Previous experience being on a construction site
● Experience using Spreadsheets
● Ability to stay organized and maintain a schedule
● Experience packing and unpacking crates
● Power tool proficiency
● Ability to work in small teams and communicate effectively
● Scissor lift certification or willingness to earn certification
For Utah On-Site Fabricators:
Accommodations and travel will be provided, and a $50/day per diem meal allowance can be invoiced to the office. PPE (hardhats, glasses, gloves, hi-vis vests) will also be provided, but fabricators are required to furnish their own steel toed boots to wear on-site.
Compensation:
