About this Service

I provide one-on-one virtual academic tutoring for elementary and middle school students, with a focus on math, reading, writing, and private school entrance exam preparation (ISEE/SSAT). Sessions are structured, focused, and tailored to each student’s specific needs, whether that is skill-building, test prep, or academic support. I work closely with students to improve accuracy, pacing, and understanding while building confidence and independence in their learning.

About this Lister

I’m a highly skilled educator with a deep passion for helping students not only succeed academically, but rediscover confidence, curiosity, and purpose in their learning. I’m known for connecting quickly with students of different personalities and learning styles and helping them feel seen, capable, and motivated. I bring clarity, structure, and warmth to my work, and I take pride in helping students shift from frustration or self-doubt to confidence and ownership. Teaching is where my strengths, intuition, and experience come together.

Background and Expertise

I hold a B.A. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Science Education from Johns Hopkins University and have over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring students in grades K–8. I have worked both as an award-winning classroom teacher and as an education leader, designing curriculum, leading academic programs, and training teachers as an Assistant Principal for Academic Instruction across multiple school settings. In formal school environments, my students achieved a 100% pass rate on state science, reading, and math exams. As a private tutor, I have supported students earning 95th percentile and above scores on the ISEE and SSAT and gaining admission to highly selective private schools.
