We are renting our 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom home in the Palmer/Wasilla area. The house is located about 1 hour north of Anchorage at the base of the Talkeetna Mountains, and sits on 1 acre of partially wooded land, along with a soon-to-be planted vegetable and flower garden. The home is about 1,200 square feet and was entirely renovated/updated in 2025 so everything is brand new. We are about 18 minutes away from town - so easy access to grocery stores, restaurants etc. We are located 12 minutes from the Skeetawk Ski Mountain, 8 minutes from Government Peak Recreation Area, and 15 minutes from the glorious Hatcher's Pass and Independence Mine State Historical Park. We are in the heart of outdoor rec adventure land - hiking, mountain biking, berry picking, downhill and Nordic skiing, fishing, snow machining etc are all within a very short drive. We are also within (longer) driving distance of Talkeetna, Denali National Park, Girdwood/Alyeska Ski Resort, Kenai Peninsula, to name just a few. Moose and other wildlife frequent our yard. The house is basic but well-equipped. It was originally a duplex (we have since opened up the spaces to make one) so currently there are two kitchens. There is a brand new washer/dryer for use, on demand hot water system, Wifi, as well as a very efficient and warming wood burning stove and a Peloton bike. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a comfortable living room. We are looking for someone interested in renting more long term (preferably 2+ months.) My husband, our 3 1/2 year old son and I live half the year here in Alaska and the other half down in Chile. The house will be available by August 1st until December or January, but our dates are somewhat negotiable.
