2 month summer sublet on cobblestone street in beautiful Brooklyn neighborhood.
A bright and sunny railroad apartment on a cobblestone street in Cobble Hill/ Columbia waterfront. Picturesque neighborhood, very centrally located, apartment is spacious and quiet.
Perfect Location: 5 minute walk to the waterfront, Atlantic Avenue, Pier 6, and walking distance to the beautiful neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens, Red Hook, Brooklyn Heights (accessible by street-free bicycle greenway). Lovely walking, tree lined streets of classic brownstones, and bike paths on each street. Everywhere full of delightful shops and cafes, less than 20 minutes to Manhattan. Five minute walk to grocery store with gourmet, eateries and specialty shops surrounding. One block away from the east river, three blocks from Ferry to Manhattan, Governors Island or Rockaway beaches, walking distance to Red Hook and lovely summer outings.
Apartment gets sun all day, morning light in the living room, evening light in the kitchen. Hardwood floors throughout. Very quiet building with only eight apartments on a very cute street in a quiet upscale neighborhood. Turn of the century tenement building. Original tin ceilings and lovely arched doorways, hardwood floors throughout the apartment, freshly painted. Space is always clean and tidy.
Comfortably sleeps two adults, with an additional futon which can be placed on the floor for occasional visitors. (Children or adults). This is a railroad apartment, meaning that the rooms follow into one another in a straight line, adding openness to the layout. There are five rooms total:
1. eat in kitchen
2. office/ studio with two large worktables and chairs
3. bedroom (full sized bed) which opens into living room
4. living room (boho chic)
5. small bathroom with stand up shower (off of the kitchen)
One door divides the kitchen and office from bedroom and living room. I always keep the apartment clean and neat, and expect those who will stay will do the same. Small item and clothes storage available.
Transportation: ten minute walk to Bergen St F/G train and five minute walk to South Brooklyn Ferry (15 min to Wall St), easy greenway bike ride into Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Accessibility: not accessible for those for whom stairs are challenging :( apartment is located on the third floor, two story walk up.
Welcome to a lovely experience of Brooklyn in the summertime.
No pets please.

I am an artist, mother and 20 year long tenant in this building.
I make art, teach in an MFA program, love nature and more recently houseplants! Am clean and neat. I live nearby with my partner and child.
I am close with my neighbors and am the contact person for the landlord.
My pronouns are she/ her/ hers
current tenant
I create a contract for the two months. Deposit and first months rent required prior to starting. I have had many guests over the years and am fair, honest and tidy. I ask the same of those who rent from me. People who have relaxed, open communication styles, lefty politics and generally joyful vibes will be the best matches here!
Please write me with a bit about yourself and what you're up to in Brooklyn this summer. The more you share, the easier for me to reach out :)
