Hello! I have a great 2-bedroom apt for rent from late Nov-early Dec (dates flexible) through end of March 2026.

Location can't be beat: 3 blocks from Central & Morningside Parks, awesome food and drink all around: Red Rooster, Archer & Goat, Sugar Hill Creamery, and more. It's also commutable to Columbia University by foot (15 min), bike (8 min), or transit (15 min). Having the 2/3 express and B/C local trains close by also helps with other commutes whether in Manhattan or further.

The apartment is fully furnished with an in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, and bedrooms that are separated by a bathroom for extra privacy. The front bedroom has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, a credenza that can also be used as a desk, double closet and window. The back bedroom has a full size bed, double closet, lounging chair and is the larger room, also fitting a bookcase, exercise bike, and small shelving unit. The bathroom contains a full tub w/shower, a shelving unit for storage, and a medicine cabinet (and a toilet, of course).

FYI, this is a first floor apt and it's Manhattan so you will be able to hear street noises and folks as they come into the apartment building (but the bedrooms are at the back). On the other hand, you never have to walk up a flight of stairs. There are traditional bars across the windows in front.

You’ll be living with a wonderful 10-yr-old kitty named Agatha so please have experience with them - she is easy and loves people, so you will be cuddled! Just asking for folks who know how to adult and think that the home should be a refuge from this hectic and great city. I take $300/month off the rent for the pet care and I pay for all of the food, litter, any vet issues, etc

I've got a remote job and am in sunnier, warmer skies for the winter. IMPORTANT: I'm currently in Malta so you'll have to check in with my current subletters (who are academics) and of course visit the cat.

We can meet on video and I can give you some names of folks who have previously rented with me if you are concerned! Otherwise, you will have to wait until I arrive back to the States on November 18th; I'd prefer to have it sorted before then.
