Large private ART studio, LIC, sublet, possibly lease-takeover
Art Studios for Sublet
Private studio, approx. 270sq f, 1100$
Me and my studio mate are moving out of our shared space November 1st. Our lease doesn’t end until March 31st 2026, so we’re looking for someone to sublet until EO lease, and if you like it and wanna stay you can take over our lease :)
The building: Our building is a really good community of artists, also part of LIC open studios, an extremely well-visited event with alot of people coming through. Both me and my studio mate are Hunter MFA alumni, and there are a bunch of other Hunter people in the building. Management is great, very communicative and helpful. Theres an exhibition space available that you can book in advance. I wish i could stay, but need direct sunlight for my specific work and have found a space around the corner, so if you move in we’ll be neighbours! It’s hard to see on the photos but the walls are so tall, two vents, with great ventilation in the building. space doesnt get too hot or cold. Slop sink, freight - and regular elevator, 3rd floor.
Close by trains are Q, F, 7 and E and R
Studio will be empty and cleaned upon your arrival. I'm bringing all items including the furniture with me, but might leave the couch if you want it!

If you deicde on staying, you’ll just stay on and sign a new lease in March with the manager (Antonio, whos great) if you’re leaving EO March, I’ll need you out a few days before as I’ll need to paint and clean the space, rent will be calibrated.
Rent will be paid to me EO each month, 1st + last months rent upon moving in, venmo or zelle is good.
