We own a two family house on a residential street right on Upper Highland Park. Room is in spacious 3 bedroom fully furnished upstairs apt. Looking for 6 months with possible longer term. May be some flexibility for later start date. We rent out two bedrooms and keep one bedroom for us—but we are away about 3/4 time.
Large furnished room available with queen bed, desk, dresser, closet, small table—and floor space. Can adjust furnishings somewhat.
Includes shared use of well-equipped separate kitchen, living room, dining room, sun room—hardwood floors/French doors…old fashioned, artful, and eclectic from our travels. We also have a small garden and sitting/ barbecue area you can use behind the house that backs up to the park. Lots of trees!

We are right on huge newly renovated Highland Park/ Ridgewood Reservoirs— beautiful green space, walking/biking/ running frisbee golf, just beyond Bushwick off Jackie Robinson on Bulwer Place. 10-15 min walk to A,C, L, J, Z trains and LIRR…street parking.

About This Lister

We are recently retired and worked therapeutically using creative arts, music, yoga, nature, and spirituality in healthcare and community settings.

Our son and his fiancé  in mid 30’s live and work in their own apt downstairs and are artists/ designers.

We have a small country house in PA and are away about 3/4 time— you would share apartment with just 1 other roommate most of the time.

We also have a large fluffy cat named Magic who comes with us when we go to PA. We are not accepting other pets at this time.

We have rented to a number of artists/creative folks over the years, and enjoy sharing our home. We are friendly and engaging, but also offer quiet, privacy and your own space.

Looking for respectful renters of any age who would enjoy the space, the park, and won’t bring the party home.
