Our home buying search went much quicker than we expected so we are looking for someone to take over our lease on this truly special Clinton Hill apartment. We're in our third year here and it’s rare to find a place in the city that balances light, space, and functionality so well. From the moment you walk in, the views will stop you in your tracks: 12ft floor-to-ceiling windows frame Downtown Brooklyn, the Manhattan skyline, and even three bridges. We will truly miss the sunsets.

The layout is as thoughtful as it is generous — the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy, and the primary suite can easily fit a king bed, dresser, and desk, and has its own ensuite double vanity bathroom with rain shower and handheld. The secondary bedroom is well sized and can fit a queen size bed. The second bathroom has a soaking tub with great light. The open living area fits a real dining table and full-size couch (we’ve hosted 12 people for dinner and 40+ for parties), and it opens directly onto a sizeable private patio that can easily accommodate both dining and lounge areas. The kitchen has ample counter space, five burners, a large refrigerator/freezer, and enough cabinets to store our kitchenware (it's been a joy to cook here).

We love the neighborhood: there's a grocery store a block and a half away, Fort Greene Park is a 10-minute stroll along Willoughby Ave (which is blocked to cars), Russ & Daughters at the Navy Yard, and plenty of restaurants/coffee bars.

Other important features: pet friendly, in-unit washer/dryer, a building with covered parking ($255 a month, submarket for the area), gym with peloton and weights, and a wonderful daycare is a tenant on the first floor (we happily send our child there). The lease you will be taking over is rent-stabilized. Super is responsive and friendly.

About This Lister

We are on our third lease for this place and welcomed our first child here. We have a second on the way and planned moving at the end of our lease but our home-buying process went much quicker than expected. We will remember this place.
