The room: largest NYC bedroom I've lived in by far (17'6" x 9'6") with generous closet space (62" x 32" x a tall ceiling), unfurnished. It faces away from the street and is located in the back of the apartment. The rain makes an exceptionally nice sound on the roof.
The apartment: a spacious 3bd/2ba. There's great light in the south-facing common space, a new dishwasher, and laundry + storage in the basement. You'd be a 10 min walk from the A/C or the 2/3/4/5, and it's a nice 25 min stroll to Prospect Park. The neighborhood has plenty of food, groceries and coffee, multiple gyms and a great yoga studio.
The building is a 3-unit building built in the 2010s. It's quiet, well-maintained and the management is reasonable. The apartment is up one flight of stairs with no elevator.
You'd be living with Jessie (she/her) and Zev (they/them), two queer programmers in their late 20s who maintain a cozy and creative sense of home. They're warmhearted, easygoing, excellent housemates. We've enjoyed cooking dinners together, movie nights, and the occasional Sunday morning baking hang.
I'm relocating for work and have loved living here, hope it can be a great find for someone else.
We're looking for someone to sign onto the lease for the entirety of the remaining lease term (Jan - June 2026), which will require landlord approval (proof of income 40x rent, recent pay stubs, W-2, etc). Strong possibility of renewal this summer if that's of interest.
