*IMPORTANT- Please note there will be renovation work happening in the building from 9am-4:30pm, Mon-Fri, for the next few weeks. This is somewhat flexible based upon your schedule (e.g. we can shift around the noisy work to days you aren't around), but if you need a super-quiet, work-from-home situation the whole time, it's not ideal this time around!

Location:
We live in the quieter, more neighborhood-y section of Williamsburg (though we are only a 10-minute walk to the action on Bedford Avenue). We're two short blocks from the Lorimer Street station of the L train and G train subway lines. You can easily be in the city within 15 minutes. There are also two different Citi Bike stations just a block away.
And if you appreciate good food, you're in the right place. Our house is across the street from our family's cheese and sandwich shop, Campbell & Co where you'll receive a friends and family discount. On our block there’s also Okonomi, a Japanese breakfast (mornings) and ramen (nights) restaurant and Rose Marie, a fabulous new restaurant and bar with a slight Southern twang.
We're also a five minute walk from McCarren Park, which features a running track, soccer fields, and an Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool (open in the summer). The park hosts a Farmers Market on Saturdays.
Originally from a little Southern town in Florida, I moved to Brooklyn, NY, 25 years ago. I film documentary television, news, and films. I also own a little cheese shop on the same block as my home. I live here with my husband, our 10-year-old daughter, and our 8-year-old son. We are living in our basement apartment for the summer and renting out our top floor apartment in the same building.
Our family is fluent in ASL (American Sign Language) and very involved in the NYC Deaf community.
This is our family home so we’re looking for clean and respectful subletters. No smoking and no big parties.
