Light filled, cozy, thoughtfully renovated 3 Bedroom. 1,000 sq. ft., 1 minute from the Halsey J

Apartments for Rent

$4,300/month

Available

July 1, 2026 - July 1, 2030

Neighborhood

Bushwick/Bedstuy, Brooklyn

Transportation

Close the Halsey J stop. Not so far from the A and L as well.

Size

1,000 sq. ft.

This recently renovated three-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a townhouse, has more quiet personality than Brooklyn's modern-look condos. Arched entries, original details and hardwood floors run throughout the large space with high ceilings. A skylight pulls beautiful natural light into the middle living room.

The two generously sized bedrooms are nicely distanced, on opposite sides of the home. The third smaller bedroom is an ideal study, office or guest room.

The back bedroom faces east with lots of morning light and looks out over a quiet garden below, and a church wall on one side that makes it feel especially private and peaceful.

The bathroom - with blue tiles, an antique extra longer clawfoot tub, an antique sink and a window - is a calm and stylish space.

We renovated the home two years ago as owner occupants living downstairs, keeping the character of the building while making the interior feel more spacious and designed. The kitchen is also a nice size, with a gas stove and dishwasher.

The Neighborhood is Weirfield Street off of Bushwick Ave, right between Bushwick and Bed-Stuy and not too far from Ridgewood either. It's a tree-lined block, very close to the J without being so close to hear much noise. The J brings you to Williamsburg in 10 minutes and the lower east side in 25 minutes.

It's a short walk to plenty of cafes, and the neighborhood is filling up with really nice restaurants, wine shops, yoga, pilates etc. Some special restaurant mentions include Olmo, Badaboom, Dolly's, They Say That, Rolos.

_Included are heat and hot water
_Shared washer & dryer in the building on the first floor.

_Not included: gas, electric
_Alas, no dogs allowed (we have cats downstairs)

Available July 1 (unfurnished).

If you're interested, send a short note about yourself, what you do, what you're like and when you're hoping to move. Looking for someone who'll love the place and treat it well.

About This Lister

We're Micah and Jen. We live downstairs with our two cats, Princey and Minnie, and we'll be your direct contacts for anything that comes up. No broker, no property manager, just us.

Micah works in research for healthcare and has a research and artist's background. Jen is creative as well and works in fashion production.

We renovated the upstairs apartment ourselves two years ago and truly love this house. We're looking for tenants who'll appreciate it the way we do: quiet, considerate folks who want a real home, not just a place to crash. We're responsive when things come up and otherwise stay out of your way.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Showings: Available by appointment. Reach out with a short note and we'll set up a time.

Please note that everyone who would be living in the apartment is asked to attend the showing, as we like to meet all future tenants in person before moving forward.

A brief introduction: who you are, what you do, what you're like, who would be living in the apartment, and your ideal move-in date as well as any questions you might already have.

If we're a mutual fit after a showing, we'll ask for:

Proof of income
References from current and previous landlords
A standard credit check (which is a fee of $20)

Move-in costs include:

First month's rent: $4,300
Security deposit: $4,300
(one month, as required by NY state law)
No broker fee

Lease: A standard one-year lease starting July 1, 2026, with the idea that we'd prefer to have a long-term tenant.

Timeline: Hoping to identify tenants by May or early June to move in on July 1st.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
