I'm looking for a roommate to search for a 2 bedroom with me for a July 1 move in date

My budget is $1,200 + utilities for my part and we can figure our total budget based on combining that with you!

Since my cat doesn't get along with other cats, hoping you have no animals or only 1 small, chill dog.

I'm open to most Brooklyn neighborhoods with a small preference for being around Prospect Park, Gowanus or Red Hook.

I previously lived in Brooklyn and took a pandemic sabbatical to convert a bus into a tiny house on wheels and go fully off grid. When the bus turned out to have structural rust issues, I ended up stranded in Philly which is where I am now.

About me: I'm an enby work-from-home freelancer with a hand in a lot of projects across arts/technology, dance, performance, film, photography, fundraising, web and app dev, dungeons & dragons, nonprofit mgmt, ceramics fabrication, textiles, etc. I love making things, taking things apart, learning things and helping others do the same. I read a lot and favor scifi, physics and neuroscience/cognitive theory.

I'm on my way to being zero-waste, zero-plastic, vegan and am maybe 90% of the way there. I generally like to keep the home a chill space but communication and empathy are my only real roommate requirements. Oh and non-smoking inside.

I have a cat named Jooney who is 14. She's not a lap cat, but likes to hang around people and be told how beautiful she is. Unfortunately, having a cat has been the biggest obstacle I've found in my room search, so I'm hoping that being the primary tenant will help with that.
