I’m looking to sublet the second bedroom in a beautiful, spacious two-bedroom apartment on a quiet street in Crown Heights. The room is a great size, gets lots of natural light, and has a large closet. The layout allows for plenty of privacy, but I’m also hoping to build a friendly, respectful roommate relationship.
I’m 35, work in the area, and enjoy cooking, yoga, museums, gardening, watching TV, and spending time with friends. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for a while and love the local bars and restaurants. I don’t drink, so I ask that there’s no alcohol kept in the common areas and no big partiers. (420 is okay in your bedroom.)
The living room and kitchen are fully furnished and decorated, with a cozy dining nook, TV, and lots of streaming subscriptions. I have all shared kitchen essentials—pots, pans, plates, etc.
Utilities:
• Typically $100–150 in winter when AC isn’t in use
• In summer, if you have an AC, we split electric evenly
• If you don’t have an AC, you pay 1/3 of the electric bill
My cat, Eliza, also lives here, so being a cat lover is a must. She’s sweet, quiet, and shy, and spends most of her time in my room where her food and litter box are kept. Unfortunately, she doesn’t do well with other animals, so I can’t accept additional pets.
I’m looking for a roommate who:
Is at least in their late 20s
Has proof of income (not fully remote)
Values a clean, calm, and respectful home
Is comfortable sharing vaccination status when inquiring
