The room for sublet is available February 1 (month-to-month, but with a 3 month minimum to start. All utilities included.) The 3 bedroom unit is located on the fourth floor of a a beautiful pre-war building, with an elevator.
The room is the largest room and on the sunniest corner of the apartment with dimensions approx 13' x 15' with 9'+ ceilings. It has 3 large windows and comes furnished with everything you see in the photos including: queen size bed, desk, large drawers, AC unit, and small drawers (with very large closet).
The apartment has a large living room with 1 large window and two smaller ones, and is fully furnished. There is a full size kitchen with standard size refrigerator, full pantry and storage, and a full 4 burner range/oven.
The bathroom is pretty large with full size tub/shower, vanity and standard toilet. The building has laundry in the basement, a separate entrance for delivery (and move in), and outdoor bike storage in a private courtyard.
The neighborhood—
We are in the thick of a thriving, popular, beautiful family-oriented and youthful neighborhood located in Clinton Hill, but is really on the intersection of Clinton Hill, Ft Greene, and Prospect heights. The nearest subway is the Clinton Washington stop on the C train, and the G train which is 2 blocks away. The Barclay center/Atlantic terminal is also about a 10 min walk. The area boasts a balance of nice restaurants, grocery stores, and fun bars.
You'll be sharing the apartment with me, a working creative in my 30s (f), and another female roommate. On weekdays we like to keep a low key atmosphere, and on the weekends like to go out exploring and being active. We're pretty busy and like our space to feel like a relaxing home, somewhere to recharge in. We're very clean, quiet and considerate, and looking for someone similar. In that sense, we clean up as we go and have a regular cleaning schedule. For use of common space for company/overnight guests, we coordinate in advance, and looking for someone who won't bring the party home.
Also looking for someone without any stuff for the common areas, since the living room and kitchen are already fully stocked and can't accommodate more furniture.
Lastly, ideally, I am looking for someone who would be outside of the home most weekdays (ideally 3+), since I work from home most of the week (am flexible on which days) and happy to chat.
To move in, first month rent is required (at least on day of move in) and a security deposit to secure the room (equal to one month rent). You’d sign a sublease agreement with me guaranteeing its return, as long as you don't break something, leave in the middle of the month, that kind of thing. All utilities are included. I have one very sweet cat, but no other pets please. Looking to rent to 1 person only. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly. If you can provide a link to a social media handle or linkedin, that would be helpful. Thank you, and please tell me a bit about yourself in your first email (feel free to reach out if you have any questions.) : )
