I am a university professor renting my bedroom in my three-bedroom apartment for July and August while I am out of the country. I am slightly flexible on dates - just ask!
THE ROOM - Full-size bed in a sunny, bright bedroom with a desk and a large closet. Room dimensions are 10.8 x 10.11. The walls are super thick, so you will rarely hear your roommates.
BATHROOM - You will share a bathroom with one roommate, as the other roommate has her own bathroom. The bathroom has a deep soaking tub and modern fixtures.
KITCHEN - We are an apartment of cooks and bakers, so our kitchen is fully stocked. You will also have your own shelf in the fridge.
AMENITIES - The apartment is spacious and features numerous amenities, including an in-unit washer and dryer, dishwasher, and balcony. There are additional washers and dryers downstairs, free for your use, and a small gym (humble but functional) is also available for your use. We also have a projector and Apple TV with access to almost every streaming service you can think of!
ROOMMATES - You will live with Val and Rachel, two young professional women in their early 30s who are both kind and courteous. We are looking for someone kind, clean, and who doesn't bring the party home. We enjoy having occasional movie and game nights, as well as sharing meals.
LOCATION - We are situated in the lower portion of Crown Heights, an 8-minute walk from both Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, to which I will happily leave my membership card for your use.
You are a 10-minute walk from the Q/B/S (Prospect Park stop) and a 15-minute walk from the 2/3 and 4/5 (Franklin Ave/Medgar Evers stop). There are numerous buses available throughout the area. We are walking distance to several grocery stores and bars. There is also a bodega in our building :)
