Offering a summer sublet (June 15 to August 15) in a beautiful bedroom in our beloved triplex brownstone house in central Park Slope.
The room comes fully furnished – bed, comfy chairs, desk, walking desk/treadmill, smart tv, color printer. There’s a sweet decorative fireplace and a new built-in air conditioner. Right next door is a newly renovated bathroom that has a shower and a really lovely bathtub.
The house itself is a gem: three floors of historic detail with woodwork and stained glass. The ground floor includes a living room, dining room, large fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), and a large back deck.
Upstairs are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a laundry room (only accessible during agreed hours, because it's adjacent to a bedroom).
We’re on a beautiful, tree-lined block in Park Slope, a 4-minute walk to the F/G train at 7th Avenue and 10 minutes to Prospect Park.
The roommates are three women (ages 30–45). One works in climate policy, one is a science researcher, and the third is a technical animator. We share a love for the arts and thoughtful living. We occasionally like to host dinner nights or mix our friend circles for holidays or birthdays. Partners are welcome to visit, but should not effectively "move in.”
We like to think of our home as a quiet sanctuary from the city: a warm, grounded space where everyone can recharge. We’re looking for someone who values calm, cleanliness, reliability, and open communication, and who brings kindness to shared living.
If this sounds like a good fit, please write and tell us a bit about yourself: who you are, what you do, why you’re looking to sublet, what your work setup is like, and why you think you’d be a good fit. Please mention “blueberries” in your message so we know you read to the end.
Sorry: no pets, no smoking, and looking for one subletter only.
You’d be joining a household of three women whose ages range from 30 to 45. One works in climate policy, another is a science researcher, and the third is a technical animator.
The person subletting is Rose (that’s me, hi!) – I am a writer and education developer, subletting because I will be away in Vermont this summer doing a graduate program.
We’re all on a shared lease, and the house is managed by Brownstone Management Company on behalf of our landlord.
We’re looking for a woman 30+. No pets, no smoking.
Rent is $1,7037.76/month. I will cover utilities, which include internet, electricity, and a monthly cleaning service for the common spaces.
Unfortunately, the building management company also charges a $375 lease change fee. They may do financial checks as well.
