A room is opening up at our beautiful 4 bedroom home in the top three floors of a Crown Heights brownstone beginning Sept 1. We’re looking for someone to join the lease with us, however we want to do a 3 month sublet first to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone. You have a large gorgeous, room with a big closet, storage area, and vanity area with a sink. The house has 2 full bathrooms. The house is historic and has beautiful wooden floors and (non working) fireplaces throughout, and the kitchen and bathrooms have been recently renovated. I’ve lived here a long time and decorated this house over the years and it’s got a really warm and inviting vibe. Sadly no dishwasher or laundry here, but a laundry mat is a block away. The room comes unfurnished, however, the rest of the place is completely furnished. The neighborhood has a lot of trees, families, restaurants, and a park 2 blocks away. Rent is 1266 + utilities. No additional pets allowed at this time.
You: We’re really looking for a roommate who we hope will become a dear friend, and who also keeps a healthy balance of socializing and personal space. We want a responsible individual who has a job or school, is friendly, clean, takes care of the space, and is easy to get along with. You must be a dog fan, and be down to participate in a cleaning schedule. We prefer living with gentle feminine energies, 30’s and up please. We are friendly, clean, respectful and kind women who are in our mid thirties. Our house members consist of a writer, theater director and grad school/yoga instructor. This is an artistic house but we are also professionals who wake up early for work and value quiet spaces. We like to cook, entertain, watch movies, etc. I have a small, adorable dog who is shy gremlin like at times but when she lets her guard down, she is sweet with a big personality. I’ve been living here for 8 years and have a good relationship with our landlord who lives next door.
