Madrid is an eclectic old mining town. The renovated upstairs apartment is spacious and private. There are stairs (10) up to the deck and entry. One parking space is available near entry. Situated at the back of the property, it is quiet and private.

Rental rate to include all utilities; water, garbage (no recycle), electric, gas and Wifi.

I have adjusted the monthly rental rate due to the property being for sale and there may a 24 hour notice to show the apartment. It has been on the market for several months and only a few viewings so traffic as been minimal.

Note on water: We are on community water in Madrid. It is clean and we use it for everything except drinking as it can sometimes have a sulfur taste. Full drinking water dispensers are provided.

I own this special property and lived and worked here for 5 years. I had a gallery and studio in the front along Highway 14 and lived in a back downstairs apartment (under unit for rent). I hosted the upstairs apartment on Airbnb until I decided to move to Santa Fe and sell the property. Property will be quiet as I am not living/working downstairs at this time. I am working artist and have enjoyed that there are other entrepreneurs and artists in the little village. I also have appreciated the wonderful character of the building and the proximity between Santa Fe and Albuquerque as well as our lovely neighbors. Now working in a studio in Santa Fe studio, it has made more sense to live there. I am excited to share with someone while the house is for sale. Lease would transfer to new owner if sold during your stay.
