Hello! We’re subletting our lovely two-bedroom apartment in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, from October 31 to December 1. We've sublet for a month three times before, and the folks who stayed here were really happy with both the apartment and the neighborhood. We're sure you will feel the same. (No pets, sorry.)

Our place is spacious and wonderful: about 900 square feet with high ceilings, filled with light and color, with ample privacy between the different parts of the apartment's layout. The sunlight also streams in just about everywhere, so we have happy houseplants in every room.

There is a bedroom, a large office/studio, a large living room that can function as a second bedroom, and a pretty huge kitchen with a dining nook. The bedroom has a comfy full bed, closet, and dresser. The living room has a twin bed with a trundle that expands it to a king. The office/studio has a sit-down desk and a standing desk or artist table. The kitchen has a dishwasher, a long eat-in bar, and a separated dining area with a four-seat table. The bathroom is super cute, and the shower has good heat and pressure. The apartment is sun-drenched, full of art, books, a great stereo, and comfy places to sit and lounge. There are windows in every room.

The apartment has great sonic separation. Both of us work from home – one of us uses the office and the other uses either the kitchen, dining table, or living room – and we never end up intruding into each other’s sound-space, even when we're working. When we want to be together, however, there are sumptuous spots everywhere for us to share time.

Our building is located mid-block between two avenues, so we’re blessed with a very quiet apartment. This goes double for the bedroom—set in the middle of the floor plan, it is a deliciously quiet place to sleep.

We absolutely love our neighborhood. We have excellent Trinidadian food, Jamaican food, and pizza, easy access to hip bars, coffee shops, and high quality restaurants, shockingly great subway and bus access, and even great bike-share access. Access to groceries is superlative, with two big supermarkets, a number of bodegas, and our favorite 24-hour grocery that's always heaped with cheap, fresh produce any time you like it. People in our neighborhood are super friendly, and the blocks are very pretty. We're about ten minutes walk from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and another ten to Prospect Park at the Grand Army Plaza.

Also, we really love our neighbors. Preserving a good relationship with them is really important to us, so we’re looking for people who are keen to be conscientious while they’re here. We also love our houseplants, and would like you to water them for us please!
