The top floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom and the bottom floor has one bedroom (mine), a bathroom and a combined (well-stocked) kitchen/living room area, with lots of light. There are entrances on both floors. There are controls for the heat on both floors. The building has roof access.

THE ROOM
The available room is on the top (fourth) floor, faces north onto a quiet street, gets plenty of sun, and is unfurnished. It is about 9x12. It has a huge balcony and a closet.

ABOUT US
My name is Emily (they/them) and I’ve been living in this apartment for about nine years. I’m queer, vegan, love to cook and eat, bike, paint, read, and see live music. I have a small garden on the roof and occasionally foster cats. I work from home for a small publishing company on a 9-5, Monday-Friday schedule. I’m in my early 30s. My Instagram is below.
My roommate Thorn (they/them) has been living here for about four years. They are vegan and queer. They are into bikes, exercise, various DIY/creative activities, and currently working as a personal trainer and in retail hell. They have a small garden on the balcony. They’re mostly sober. Thorn is in their early 40s and dislikes social media.
We’re both pretty clean. We occasionally host game nights or potlucks, but no loud parties and aren’t big drinkers. We’re 420 friendly. We take precautions around Covid, masking in crowded spaces and testing.

PETS
We'd consider a cat.

LOCATION
The apartment is located in Bed-Stuy, very close to Bushwick on a quiet residential street. The closest trains are the JMZ at Myrtle, about 4 blocks away. It’s also about 1 mile to the G at Myrtle-Willoughby and 1 mile to the L at Morgan Av. The apartment is close to a handful of grocery stores (including the wonderful Mr. Kiwi). There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars nearby as well. It is about a block from a laundromat. It’s also quite easy to get places by bike and there’s a bike shop about 5 blocks away.

COST
The rent is $935/month. Utilities are shared and are usually between $65-125 per person, per month.

WHO I’M LOOKING FOR
I’m looking to find a roommate who is vegan. I’m looking to keep a clean and quiet apartment. First month’s rent and security deposit are required to move in, as well as proof of income. If you’re interested, please tell me a bit about yourself and what you do, send me links to your social media, if you have any, and let me know your availability to view the apartment.
