Studio space available in shared art building with access to communal woodshop tools. You’ll be joining a creative community of five other artists and furniture makers, along with an on-site set-building and CNC fabrication shop.

The unit is located on the second level (accessible by stairs or forklift) and is ideal for painters, textile artists, or small-scale sculptors and woodworkers.

The space sits under an arched ceiling and offers roughly 20' × 8' of usable floor area.

I work in the film industry as an art director. I've owned and operated a small set and prop fabrication company called Shapeshifter for 10 years, we've been located on this block in Boyle heights for about 11 years.

Shapeshifter has been a micro-arts colony since we moved into this building, comprised of builders, designers and artists.

The space is communal, but we like to keep it clean and moderately quiet. We're looking for artistic types who are have a studio practice which will benefit from access to the communal shop (sculptors, furniture makers, crafts people), and who can help keep the vibe chill.
