I am looking for a roommate to fill an open room in my 2 bedroom apartment in Astoria. The apartment is on the first floor of a walk-up building, close to the N, R, W, M, and F trains, and near many restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.
Rent is $1462.5/month (water is included in the rent). The open bedroom is spacious and includes a closet and lots of light. There is room for a queen bed, a dresser, a desk, and other desired furniture.
Utilities (WiFi and ConEd) are between $50-100 month depending on the monthly electric/gas usage (usually more in the summer, less in the winter).
There is a full kitchen, living room (with shared closet space), and 1 bathroom w/shower bath.
There is not laundry in the building, however, there are multiple laundromats within a 1-block radius of the building.
I am a mid-20s arts administrator and composer (he/him) looking for someone (preferably 20s to early 30s) to join my existing lease in Astoria.
I am looking for a roommate that is clean, neat, and friendly.
I work M-F at my job's office, so I am mostly home during the evenings and weekends. I will occasionally work from home, but this is rare. I usually cook a couple of days during the week.
This is an LGBTQ+ friendly apartment.
To be added to the lease, the landlord will require a credit check, bank statement/pay stubs to show proof of income at least 40X rent, and rent payment history.
Security deposit upon signing.
