Anatolico is excited to welcome a part-time (2 days per week, with potential for 3 days during summer) Sales Assistant to our first permanent store on 5th Avenue in Brooklyn! We specialize in beautifully designed Turkish towels, robes, and caftans, all handcrafted in our founder’s hometown in Turkey. This is a special opportunity to work closely with me, Derya—the owner and designer—as part of a very small, dedicated team. Since we’re a tight-knit business, this role is truly important to us, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us and take pride in representing our brand.
What We’re Looking For:
Retail Experience Required: Experience in retail boutiques, artisan shops, or dynamic environments like holiday or Christmas markets is highly valued. Comfort with different POS systems and attention to loss prevention are major pluses.
Independent & Trustworthy: You’ll often run the store solo, so reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of ownership are key. This person should be able to manage the store as if it were their own, keeping things running smoothly even in our absence.
Sales Enthusiast & Engaging Communicator: A natural at understanding customer needs, sharing our brand’s unique story, and guiding shoppers to find products they’ll love.
Summer Availability: We’ll be away for a good portion of the summer, so increased flexibility and availability during that time is essential. During these weeks, the role may expand to 3 days per week, and responsibilities will include fulfilling online orders in addition to regular in-store duties. Compensation will be adjusted accordingly based on the increased workload.
Weekend Availability: Must be available at least one weekend day, as these are our busiest times.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: From inventory to in-store orders, you’ll be expected to keep everything running smoothly and on track.
Store Care & Presentation: Keeping the space clean, inviting, and beautifully arranged—including light dusting and tidying—is part of daily responsibilities.
Social Media Savvy: If you enjoy capturing store moments and sharing on social media, that’s a big bonus!
Job Details:
Hours: 2 days per week (16 hours), including at least one weekend day. During summer, may increase to 3 days/week.
Pay: $19–$22/hour depending on experience, with potential for increase during busier periods or commission can be discussed.
Location: Anatolico, 347 5th Avenue, Brooklyn.
