We are seeking a part-time seasonal sales professional for the Grand Central Holiday Fair, indoors in the Vanderbilt Hall. This position will entail working 2-3 days a week from November 11th till December 24th.
Our ideal candidate is smart, reliable, quick on their feet, flexible and able to start a conversation with anyone.
- Interact with clients to help them find the perfect piece for any occasion or gift.
- Interact directly with clients and provide hospitality and warmth during every interaction.
- Support management in maintenance of inventory.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries with tact and grace.
- No need for retail experience. In the past I had great luck with performance artists and I can adjust to a flexible schedule.
- Strong sense of personal style with a love of the visual arts& jewelry.
- A strong value system including, but not limited to, honesty, dedication, and trustworthiness.
-Art history knowledge a plus.
-Knowledge of gemstones a plus.
-Needs to be able to be on their feet for 4 or 5 hours without break.
I am originally from the Netherlands and have small jewelry and fine art studio in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where all pieces are made. I have been in business since 2003 and we will be participating in the Grand Central Holiday Fair for the 9th year.
