Hi everyone – I'm a psychotherapist based in BK and work for a practice called Therapy Brooklyn.

I'm hosting an 8-week therapy group for co-parents called Partners in Parenting (PIP), with a focus on topics such as identity formation after parenthood, navigating parental triggers, and developing stronger communication strategies. Sessions will start on June 25th, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. EST. NY clients only. $300 for all sessions, roughly $37 per session. Sliding scale is available!

About this Lister

I'm Isidora, and I believe that healing is fundamentally relational – I believe that our relationships, whether short-term or long, romantic or familial, are all conduits to our ever-growing transformation as human beings.

I employ an integrative therapeutic approach, combining elements from evidence-based modalities, including psychodynamic and Gestalt therapy. I emphasize the importance of deep introspection in therapy, encouraging clients to examine their past and present to gain a deeper understanding, evolve, and unlearn life patterns. This method is applied in my work with both individuals and couples. Ultimately, my objective is to help clients make sense of or connect the various aspects of their lives.

I'm the daughter of Filipino immigrants, and I understand the role of family dynamics and their influence on generational patterns. I've authored works that delve into my Filipino-American experiences and the impact of acculturation on identity.

Background and Expertise

I'm a Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) based in Brooklyn and working for Therapy Brooklyn. I've been practicing for a little over a year. I graduated from Northwestern University with a Master's in Counseling. I work primiarly with BIPOC individuals and couples.
