Hi. I am looking to sublet my dreamy studio apartment that overlooks the water in north Williamsburg near Domino Park. The south-facing studio is in a high-rise, doorman, elevator building with views of downtown Manhattan and the Williamsburg Bridge.
While it's a studio, it feels spacious in that the door opens onto a long hallway before entering the main room. So there is a desk/kitchen table area, a separate kitchen, separate full bathroom, and a full washer/dryer in the closet off the hallway.
The kitchen is super modern with fresh, clean appliances--a full-size gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, pantry, and giant fridge/freezer.
Winter/early spring is my favorite season in this space--it's very warm as it's flooded with gorgeous southern light from a floor-to-ceiling window. The sun sets at this time of year right out the window over lower Manhattan.
I lucked out renting in this particular high rise. No issues and sincerely the kindest staff who make the building what it is. The building was built well--it's shockingly quiet. I've been here for three years and I hear nothing of my neighbors; no footsteps above me; no NYC street noise up on this high floor. And I love the wide-open, movie-esque view with no neighboring buildings.
I'm looking for a single occupant, someone very neat, no pets, no smoking. It would be appreciated if you'd water my plants.
I am flexible in terms of dates. I am out west this winter and I'm also potentially open to extending the dates if I stay out here longer, but for now would definitely like to cover April and May. I would appreciate a FaceTime to meet you and discuss details!
My space is not depersonalized so I imagine this would work better for someone who travels light or is just passing through for a season or for work.
The price is all in and not marked up. My rent is currently just under 4,000 and internet and power come out to just over 4,000.
Under a 10-minute walk to Bedford L.
I am a freelance writer, editor, and proofreader who ended up a bit nomadic in enjoying both city time and nature time. New York has been my base on and off for 20 years but I am often on the West Coast exploring my outdoor interests (hiking/climbing), and I spend time in Berlin as well, where I lived during my 30s. I am a woman in my 40s and having a home that's aesthetic and clean and calm is important to me; I trust you feel the same and would care for it like your own. I have used Listings Project many times for sublets and have had only great experiences, gaining a couple of lifelong friends after being their tenant.
I'd appreciate a reference and/or some kind of social media or website context. Facetime. Brief contract drawn up between us. Rent sent upfront.
