A quick 7 minute drive to main street, “The Manor” is a vibrant community of local businesses: restaurants, breweries, shops, a seasonal farmers market, grocery stores, gas stations, exercise classes, barber and beauty salons, and more. Livingston Manor is truly a “small mountain town with a huge backyard” and we have easy access to a huge variety of hiking, stream and lake fishing, hunting, camping, great nature bathing and more. We are also just 10 minutes to Roscoe which has its own fantastic local businesses and great outdoor activities.

Throughout the house, there are gorgeous views of Amber Lake, a 20 acre, spring fed motorless lake at an elevation of 2000 feet. The variety of weather patterns on top of the mountain enhance the indoor/outdoor feeling of the home. Outdoor activities on the lake include canoeing, swimming, fishing, and kayaking. The house is surrounded by gardens which were designed to create outdoor rooms including a wrought iron table for dining and a bistro table perfect for morning coffee. There is both a covered side porch with a dining table and a sunny back porch great for entertaining. Amber Lake is our first home, which we bought while renting in Brooklyn.
