Hey! I'm looking for a new roommate to share a stunning 14th-floor Crown Heights apartment with a giant private terrace and panoramic views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The primary bedroom is yours; it's the largest in the unit, with a private en suite bathroom, two large windows, and sweeping views.
The unit has an in-unit washer/dryer, a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and stove (all new), AC and heating fully controllable and built into each room, and lots of natural light. The unit has 2 bedrooms and a shared office space.
The living room and office are mostly furnished. I have some outdoor furniture for the terrace. The primary bedroom is unfurnished. Furnished photos show the room as it looked when my previous roommate lived here, to give you a sense of the space.
The building has a 24-hour doorman with secure delivery and mail, elevators, a gym, and a large, finished rooftop deck with grills, seating, and activity room (though with our own private terrace, I rarely go up there). The building is in a great location, close to Franklin St. for dining and bars, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, and Prospect Park. It's close to the Franklin Ave 2/3/4/5 stop for quick access to Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn and the B44+ stop for access to Williamsburg.
I'm a 35 year-old academic (he/him, gay) who works from home. I moved to Brooklyn a year ago and love it here! I love finding new restaurants to eat at, taking walks in the Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park, exploring the city, and relaxing at home with a nice YouTube video or sudoku. I love houseplants, interior design, and thoughtful conversations. I have a Nintendo Switch and enjoy the occasional videogame with friends on the 65" TV. I enjoy listening to music (always with headphones), but I don't watch much TV. I love animals but don't have any. I care a lot about self-improvement and take my mental health seriously. I'm a big believer in respecting each other's space, and I try to be as accommodating and unobtrusive as possible. I don't drink alcohol or use tobacco, but I don't mind if you do.
I'm looking for a mature, respectful person who takes pride in their home and is excited to share an exceptional space. My ideal roommate is relaxed, considerate, and communicative. Bonus points for being eager to make use of the terrace; it's too good to leave unused.
$3,200/mo (your share of $6,400 total). Utilities split evenly: ~$215/mo total ($50 Fios, ~$100 electricity, $65 building amenities), so roughly $107/mo additional. The lease starts July 1, 2026, with early move-in available now.
Pets are allowed by the building. I love animals, and I would be comfortable with cats or a well-behaved dog.
